Our Vision & Mission Statement

Our Vision

To provide a holistic and nurturing approach to personalised education that rebuilds the foundations for success.

To remove barriers to learning in order to inspire and empower children to develop self-belief, confidence, and so to achieve their potential.

To build resilience in children by providing a high quality, specialised framework of support in which children are able to develop strong and positive relationships.

Our Mission

In order to realise our vision, our mission must be:

To place each child at the centre of their own individually-tailored curriculum.

To adopt and develop a holistic approach to education so all our students can truly realise their potential.

To help young people achieve successful outcomes to their school placement through maintaining consistency, structure, boundaries and security.

To support young people in preparing for their future through the acquisition of new skills, strategies and belief systems.

Our Values

We have recently reviewed and updated our approach to creating a positive culture in our school and developing students understanding of fundamental British Values of:

  • democracy
  • the rule of law
  • individual liberty
  • mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith

We aim to achieve this by reinforcing the fundamental values in how students conduct themselves at school, working through our social skills mentoring programme to achieve the highest status of Student Government. Our student induction handbook below clearly outlines our values and approach.
